COOPAC Microfinanzas Prisma

Prisma started its activities as an NGO in 1993 and became an cooperative in May 2014. The institution, located in Lima, has as vision to be a leading savings and credit cooperative for sustainable rural microfinance.

Their mission is to offer financial services with added value to strengthen the capacities and promote the social and economic development in a sustainable way of their members, primarily marginalized rural women. The cooperative finances only cocoa and coffee, which is part of the project to promote alternative crops in the area and thus reinforces its social impact.

In 2016, Prisma was serving their clients through three agencies, mainly in rural areas and they plan to reach a total of 6 agencies during 2017.
