Maxima was created in 2000 with the vision to be the leading institution providing quality services to micro-entrepreneurs in Cambodia. Their main mission is to provide financial services to rural micro-entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises with low incomes in order to improve their standard of living and help them achieve their objectives.

The MFI operates in the regions of Phnom Penh, Takeo and Kandal through their 10 agencies. Maxima finances mostly poor rural women who run small family business in agriculture, craft production, livestock, fisheries, petty trade and services.
