In 2008, three entrepreneurs with more than 20 years of experience in microfinance created OMLA S.A. and opened three branches in the Buenos Aires region. As the network has grown, it now has 51 employees spread over 13 branches. Of these 51 employees, 56% are female and 63% of the leadership positions are held by women.
The institution’s vision is to be the leader in innovative financial services, creating equal economic opportunities for families with entrepreneurial potential to strengthen the country’s economic development. In order to realise its vision, OMLA offers innovative and high quality financial services by achieving the optimal balance between customer satisfaction, employee well-being, corporate profitability and shareholder objectives. OMLA serves over 2,700 clients, 69% of whom are women.
The institution offers a varied range of products to its clients: individual credits and group credits. Some payment terms are also flexible, making it possible to adapt to customers’ cash flows. 57% of the credits are dedicated to the services and trade sector, 35% to production and crafts, and 8% to agriculture.
In addition to its credit products, OMLA also offers some additional services: life insurance and health micro-insurance allowing customers to be reimbursed the purchase of drugs.
