Angélica Patricia Benitez de Maravilla

Angélica Patricia Benítez de Maravilla is an entrepreneur since the age of 16. Her grandmother had a mill hopper in which she helped her daily to serve the customers. After her grandmother’s death she inherited the mill and being the only mill in the area it attracted quite a lot of customers. After a time, Angelica decided to buy another 2 mill hoppers and eight years later she is still the owner of 3 mill hoppers.

With the idea of providing her family with a better life, she decided to start a new project that consisted in raising chickens and selling them afterwards. Since she had no experience in this type of business, she requested advice from a friend of her father that owned an agro service; he showed her how it was done and Angelica bought very quickly her first 50 chicken from which she could sell the first eggs 45 days later.

Taking into account her responsibilities as a client, the institution AMC granted her a loan of USD 8,500.00 for the construction of a galley for the poultry farm and then a second credit of USD 1,000.00 to strengthen her farm business. She accepted the second loan and reinvested it into her farm allowing her to currently hold 400 chickens and sell 360 eggs daily.

Thanks to the support of AMC, of her husband Christian which takes care of their two young children, Angelica has now become a successful 28-year-old young woman.
