Yousos Him
Yousos Him is 47 years old, married since 2011 and will soon become father. He lives in a village about 25 kilometers from Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia.
To provide for his family, Yousos has two jobs: motorcycle/taxi driver, commonly called “tuktuk” and also fisherman.
The motorcycle he was using was outdated and frequent repairs resulted in a decrease of his activity which was affecting his income. Yousos then contracted a first loan with the MFI Maxima, to buy a new one. This investment has allowed him to increase his cash-flow, particularly by reducing spending on gasoline and repairs.
In the context of the arrival of his first child and after repaying his first loan, Yousos decided to contract a second one, amounting to USD 250, this time in order this time to buy additional fishing equipment to optimize his performance and increase his revenues to welcome the new family member in good conditions.
