Tatiana
Tatiana is a 19-year-old mother who lives in the city of Santo Domingo in Ecuador. She lives in a small house with her husband, her son and several of her other relatives.
Tatiana and her husband are heavily reliant upon each other. They both work very hard to raise their family. A little over a year ago, she opened a small business. Using savings that the couple had amassed, she was able to buy a couple of computers allowing her to open a Cybernet (an internet café). This was the only business of the kind in the region. Business thrived, allowing her to gather the money to acquire an additional computer. Her husband has also helped her and now the two of them also have a little grocery and candy shop in their cafe.
Although they are young, the couple has a culture of saving. They are very proud of their accomplishments and the progress their businesses have made. They decided to come to Fundación Alternativa to access assistance to grow their business still further. They plan to grow their café little by little which will help them to lead a more secure future.
